The Department of Statistics is responsible for developing, managing, analyzing, and disseminating reliable, timely, and high-quality state-level statistical information to support evidence-based policymaking, development planning, surveys, monitoring, and informed decision-making across Southwest State. It coordinates census and survey activities, social and economic statistics, MIS and GIS systems, and statistical publications, while ensuring data quality, accessibility, and alignment with national and international statistical standards. the department also provides strategic and technical guidance to strengthen the State’s statistical systems, data governance, and institutional capacity.
