Mr. Abdi Ali Dogey

Mr. Abdi Ali Dogey is the Director General of the Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development (MoPIED), Southwest State of Somalia, with more than 10 years of professional experience in government institutions and international agencies. He has previously served as Director General of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Health, gaining extensive experience in public administration, governance, institutional reform, policy development, strategic coordination, stakeholder engagement, and resource management. Mr. Dogey holds a degree in Public Health and a Master of Arts in Disaster Resilience Leadership and Humanitarian Action (DRL-HA) from the University for Peace. His leadership is focused on strengthening institutions, advancing sustainable development, and fostering strategic partnerships for the development of Southwest State of Somalia.

H.E: Abdulkadir Omar Abdullahi (Basto)

Mr. Abdulkadi Omar Abduulahi (Basto) is the current Minister of Planning, Investment and Economic Development (MoPIED) of South West State (SWS) of Somalia and a Member of the SWS legislature, previously served as minister of Labor and Social Affairs (MolSA) SWS. Mr. Abdulkadir has previously worked as a senior technical and policy advisor to the FGS. Before joining public service, he has worked in Somalia, and the others in the fields of humanitarian, finance and academic research.
